LinoIt

LinoIt is actually an online cork board that provides us with a number of features that make it easy to conduct brainstorming, opinions, evaluations in the classroom.

How to

You can try the program without registration, but the registration process does not take long either. Upon entering the application, we are greeted by an interface, where we can keep track of what boards and canvas we have, see the tasks we mark for ourselves, and review our groups. In the thin menu bar in the upper right corner, you can change your preferences by clicking on Preferences, so you can set, for example, your username, password, profile picture, time zone, or application language. You can log out using "Log out" next to Preferences, and you can search below the menu bar.

In the My canvases section you will find the canvas you have created, or you can create a new one here by clicking on “create a new canvas”. We have to customize the new canvas first: we give it a name, we can choose its background, which can be many from the cork board to the solid color, light background, but if you don't like any of the options, you can upload an image yourself under the "upload an image" menu item. We also need to specify the visibility settings for the canvas, where we can choose from three options: it is made for personal use only, anyone can see the "sticky notes", or anyone can put a new "sticky note" on it. You can change the setting at any time later. If you want to enable your students to post on the canvas but not other users, it is a good idea to create a group and make the canvas within it. Click “create canvas” to save the settings and create one.

When loading the canvas, we get into a large workspace, in the lower left corner of which we can go to our previous canvases or the main menu, but if the presence of the menu bar is confusing, we can minimize it and use it only when necessary. The "sticky notes" in the upper right corner are the operators of the program: by clicking on one of them, we can express our opinions, arguments and ideas in the form of text, images or even video. You can use the suggested editing interface to shape the text in a variety of ways, as well as use icons to differentiate or colorize. An unlimited number of users can work on the canvas shared with others at the same time, thus allowing fast and anonymous feedback, expression of opinions and brainstorming from all students in the classroom.
